Patrick began his masonry career in England, where he trained in traditional stone carving and sculpting. Learning within a heritage craft environment, he developed the discipline, patience, and precision required to shape natural stone by hand. This early training laid the foundation for a deep respect for proportion, structural integrity, and the permanence of well-built masonry.

HISTORIC LANDMARK EXPERIENCE

As his skills developed, Patrick contributed to restoration and conservation work on significant historic landmarks, including Blenheim Palace and Windsor Castle. Working on structures of this scale required careful stone matching, adherence to traditional building methods, and an understanding of how to preserve centuries-old craftsmanship while ensuring long-term durability.

After bringing his trade overseas, Patrick applied that same old-world training to a new environment and climate. Working in the demanding coastal conditions of British Columbia, he refined his approach to suit local materials, modern building codes, and the structural requirements of West Coast construction.

KEYSTONE MASONRY TODAY

Today, through Keystone Masonry, Patrick operates in a hands-on, owner-led environment where quality is maintained at every stage of the project. Serving the Sea to Sky region, from Whistler to Vancouver, he delivers high-quality masonry across both residential and commercial projects. From structural stone walls and chimneys to detailed residential and restoration work, he brings together traditional craftsmanship and practical field experience. Each project reflects the same principles that have guided his career from the beginning: build it properly, build it to last, and stand behind the work.
